Godspeed, Mr. Cub

I feel so awful right now. I was watching Gone Girl with my wife, who reached over to show me her phone…which had a picture of Ernie Banks, complete with a headline I never wanted to see. Seeing that Ernie had passed was like a gut punch.

I clicked on my own phone to see that my Twitter timeline was filled with picture, notices, memories. Even White Sox fans were talking of having tears in their eyes. It’s a sad day for the Cubs, a sad day for baseball.

Godspeed, Mr. Cub. We miss you.
