Evening Blast: The Blue Hornet Hammers Homers
You’ve probably heard by now, but in case you haven’t Jason Heyward was attacked by a swarm of bees on Easter Sunday and he has now has super powers. Jason is now being referred to as “The Blue Hornet.” It’s true. Below I will lay out the facts and you can judge for yourselves.
Exhibits A & B – Jason gets swarmed in the top of the third inning in Sunday’s game and, once the mutation is complete, he immediately crushes a home run in the bottom of that same inning.
I know, I know, that alone is proof enough that the Blue Hornet lives. But, alas, I offer more evidence to behold.
Exhibit C – In the very next game today, Monday, March 28, 2016 (for the record), he again flashes his newly found super powers as he hits a ball approximately 458 feet!
I mean, really, has anything ever been more obvious? Before the bee swarm, one home run in all Cactus League games to date as a Cub. After the bee swarm, two home runs in six at-bats (he can’t always hit a home run, that would be too obvious!).
The Blue Hornet lives!!!
