Chicago Cubs Lineup: Cubs Head to Cincy For Weekend Series
The Chicago Cubs travel to Cincinnati today for a four-game weekend series against the Reds. The Cubs swept the Reds last week in Chicago by outscoring them 22-6. This series could be just what the Cubs offense needs after the last series against the Cardinals where their bats were held in check by stingy Cardinals pitching.
Last time the Cubs played Brandon Finnegan he had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning but the Cubs staged a dramatic come from behind victory off a three-run home run by Addison Russell. Hopefully the Cubs don’t make it quite as close as that one was.
Jake Arrieta is back on the mound for the Cubs and David Ross will be catching him. Ross is likely in there to give Montero, who caught all three games in St. Louis, a rest tonight. Jorge Soler is back in the lineup tonight going against the lefty, Finnegan.
