Chicago Cubs Lineup: After Rainout Arrieta Looks to Shut Down Brewers
Note: Since the game on Wednesday was postponed the lineup has stayed the same. Therefore, we’re reposting our lineup post from Wednesday. Hopefully the weather holds off today and we can get the complete game in.
The news outlets have been hammering it home today, the coverage of Jake and PEDs being mentioned together has been all over, especially today as Arrieta prepares for his first outing since his no-hitter against the Reds.
For his part, Jake has largely brushed off the talk and, as we wrote about earlier today, has said he find it flattering. Don’t believe that for a second. He’s toasted and rightfully so, guy’s worked as hard or harder than anyone else in the league to get where he is and hater’s gonna be hatin’. He may be acting like he’s entertained by all of this but I’m looking for him to come out tonight at a little higher level than normal, which should make this game much more interesting than it looks on paper.
It looks like as long as Jorge Soler continues to struggle at the plate, Joe is going to lean more on Kris Bryant to play left field. That’s where he is again tonight and Tommy La Stella, who tore things up on Sunday, is back in the lineup today at third base.
Rossy is catching again, which makes me wonder how Montero is feeling but as of this writing I haven’t seen any updates. In case you missed it, he was a late scratch yesterday due to a sore back. We’ll update you when we find out more.
Here’s the lineup for tonight:

1. Dexter Fowler (S) CF
2. Jason Heyward (L) RF
3. Kris Bryant (R) LF
