Injury Update: Jason Heyward Hoping to Return Wednesday (Video)
Jason Heyward has apparently been dealing with a nagging wrist injury since the Cubs second series of the year in Arizona (CSN Chicago – Video). He was hoping the injury would get better with time but on Sunday he decided to go to the Cubs medical staff and get treatment. This lead to him being held out of the yesterday’s game against the Pirates.

His status is considered to be day-to-day and, in fact, he didn’t even realize he was out of the lineup yesterday until arriving at the ball park. Jason isn’t expected to play in tonight’s game either. At the game last night his wrist didn’t have any visible wrap or bandaging on it, although it was reported that his wrist was wrapped in ice after the game.
As of now, the Cubs are expecting Jason to return no earlier than Wednesday’s day game against Pittsburgh. We will update you if anything changes.
