Chicago Cubs Lineup: Lester, Cubs Go For Sweep of Pirates

So far, this series has been all the Cubs could have hoped for as they’ve scored a total of 14 runs in two games while holding the Pirates to only three runs behind suffocating pitching. Today, Jon Lester will go for the kill as he takes the hill. Jon has been very good so far this year with a 2-1 record behind a 1.83 ERA and 33 strikeouts over 34 1/3 innings.

The Cubs continue to deal with early season injuries with the latest being a strained hamstring to Matt Szczur. Yesterday Matt was placed on the DL and Ryan Kalish was recalled to the Cubs. Javier Baez is back at third base where he was absolutely divine yesterday as he made several incredible plays. Kris Bryant is in left field. Ben Zobrist is in right field today for Jason Heyward, who’s out with a sore wrist, and Tommy La Stella is playing second base.
