WATCH: Cubs Honorary Bat Girl Molly Oliver Had an Amazing Day Sunday (Video)
We all knew it was Mother’s Day this past Sunday and if you were watching the Cubs game you also saw all the pink. It was indeed a ‘pink out’ to celebrate breast cancer survivors and promote breast cancer awareness. It’s something that has impacted most people.
The Cubs honored Molly Oliver, a breast cancer survivor, by designating her as the honorary bat girl for Sunday’s game. She got to hang out in the Cubs dugout before the game, meet the players and she even got to bring the lineup card out to home plate. It’s a great story of a very deserving, strong and admirable young lady. And of course, a fantastic way to spend the day, not to mention the Cubs walk off win.
Here’s some fun tweets from Molly and the full story from CBS Chicago.
