Chicago Cubs Lineup: Afternoon Delight, Cubs Look to Take Series From Cardinals
Yesterday’s game was a nice, big release of a couple weeks worth of frustration (relive it here and here). With a win today, the Cubs have a chance to take this series and put eight games between them and the Cardinals, one quarter of the way through the 2016 season.
And who else would you want pitching if you seek a big win then Jake Arrieta. With Jake on the hill it feels like the opposing team doesn’t stand a chance.
This is the last game of the road trip for the Cubs, one that hasn’t been very kind — so far, the Cubs are 3-5. They’ll head home after this series for a ten game home stand and some well-earned rest in their own beds.
Here’s the lineup for today’s game:
Jake Arrieta (R)
@ Cardinals – Carlos Martinez (R)
1. Dexter Fowler (S) CF
2. Jason Heyward (L) RF
3. Kris Bryant (R) LF

5. Ben Zobrist (S) 2B
6. Tommy La Stella (L) 3B
