Chicago Cubs Lineup: A More Traditional Affair, Heyward & Rizzo Starting
It’s just plain fun to know that Joe Maddon has the flexibility to do what he did yesterday and tinker with the lineup. It gave Anthony Rizzo a day off, mostly, and allowed Jason Heyward a day to rest too. Oh, and the Cubs still manhandled the Phillies 6-2.
Today’s lineup is a more traditional affair, one that represents the regular starters on the team at each position. Kyle Hendricks (2-4, 3.30 ERA) will take the mound today looking for some run support. His 2.88 runs of support ranks 94th in the majors and helps explain why, at a respectable 3.30 ERA, he only has two wins.
