Chicago Cubs Lineup: Lackey Looking to Shut Down Dbacks, La Stella at 3rd, Bryant in LF

Summer is here and it’s starting to heat up in Chicago. It sure seems like it went from jacket weather to shorts weather pretty quickly, didn’t it?

In my humble opinion, the Cubs (37-15) really should sweep the Diamondbacks (24-32), so they’ll need to get out of the gate today quickly and establish their offense right away. They’re facing a team that has been struggling lately (Series Preview here), dropping seven of their last ten.

The Dbacks won’t have it easy as they meet up with a pitcher, John Lackey, that’s been on fire the last month. In May, John had a 2.09 ERA and have held opponents to a slash of .164/.242/.298 – solid stuff.
