Cubs Clips: WATCH Albert Almora’s Incredible Defensive Play and His First Hit
Albert Almora is set to wow us all very soon. It’s well known that he’s a defensive dynamo in the outfield and yesterday he showed us a little taste of his prowess.
In the bottom of the first inning, Odubel Herrera hit a fly ball to left center field with a runner tagging up on third base. Unfortunately for the Phillies, he hit it right at Albert and, well, you can watch what happened.
And finally, in the top of the eighth inning, with Anthony Rizzo on third base, Almora hit a come-backer that deflected off the pitcher’s glove and went past the middle of the infield. It was Albert’s first major league hit and first RBI.
Congrats to my man @albertalmora on his first big league knock! Pretty good in the outfield too??
