Jake Arrieta Not Scheduled to Pitch in All-Star Game
As Cubs fans, we all know how rough things have been lately as our beloved team has hit a snag in what we thought would be a record setting season. Jake Arrieta is smart enough to recognize that rest is probably the most valuable thing he can get right now.
According to Jesse Rogers, at ESPN.com, Jake has indicated to the NL team manager, Terry Collins, that if he’s not needed, he’d rather not play and would be better off just getting some rest.
Well, it appears that Terry Collins has agreed to oblige Jake and he is not scheduled to play in the all-star game tonight. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of other Cubs’ players to root for.
