Just when things started to feel like they were starting to get back to normal for the Cubs, after a rash of injuries so far this season, there comes another bump in the road. Although this time the preliminary reports are that Addison should be ok. We’ve learned, via Carrie Muskat, that he left the game as a precautionary move. After taking a foul ball off his foot yesterday it apparently tightened up in today’s game.
Addison had just popped out to end the Cubs’ half of the fourth inning. It’s unclear if that’s when he re-aggravated his heel or whether it happened earlier in the game.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything else on this but for now he should be considered day-to-day.
