Kyle Hendricks Named National League Pitcher of Month for August

Not to be outdone by Kris Bryant winning NL Player of the Month in August, Kyle Hendricks has won National League Pitcher of the Month in August. Well now isn’t that an impressive month?

To say the Cubs dominated the month of August would be a slight understatement. They finished the month with a 22-6 record.

For Kyle, he added some serious credibility to his case for the Cy Young Award during the month. He slashed 1.28/3.24/3.48 – ERA/FIP/xFIP for the month which included a season high 5.14 K/BB and a .208 BABIP.

Congrats to Kyle! Now, let’s dominate October.
