Jose Fernandez had already authored an amazing life story, yet he left so many more chapters unfinished. He had just turned 24 at the end of July and was an expectant father. I’m still trying to come to grips with this loss, despite the fact that I never knew this man and surely never would have met him. I choked up trying to explain to my son how I was going to make it a point to enjoy the Cubs game because that’s what Jose would have wanted.
