Chicago Cubs Lineup – NLCS Game 5: Lester Pitching in Pivotal Game Before Series Returns to Wrigley
Jon Lester (1-0, .64 ERA) has been the most consistent and most dominating of all the Chicago Cubs pitchers so for this postseason. The Cubs will need another one of those performances from him tonight if they are to take the series lead back to Chicago for a game six showdown with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ ace, Clayton Kershaw.
Lester will be up against Kenta Maeda (0-1, 9.00 ERA), who the Cubs ran from game one of the NLCS after scoring three runs in four innings pitched by the right-hander, Maeda.
With the righty in for the Dodgers, Joe Maddon has opted to go with a lineup very close to last night’s, with the exception of David Ross.
