Cubs Clips: WATCH Addison Russell’s Incredible Two-run Home Run in NLCS, Javier Baez Double Clears the Bases
Um, that game was pretty amazing, huh? Really, this whole postseason thus far for the Cubs has been one astounding ride. Last night, when Addison Russell pounded the ball to deep center field – for the second straight night, no less – and Cubs fans at Dodger Stadium stood on their feet, watching that ball float further and further away, it felt special, it felt right, and it felt pretty darn amazing.
As if that moment wasn’t enough, Javier Baez was again put in a critical situation and, once again, he made it look oh so easy. Everything Javy does has a flair. The kid – he’s only 23 by the way – just does it all. And last night, in the top of the eighth inning, he did it again with a bases loaded double to score three runs and give the Cubs a commanding 8-2 lead.
