Cubs Clips: WATCH The Legend of Kyle Schwarber Build with Clutch Performance in World Series Game 2
Kyle Schwarber is turning into the stuff of postseason legends. It was one thing when he hit five home runs in one postseason in 2015 to become the Cubs’ all-time leading postseason home run hitter…um, in his rookie year. What he’s done so far, in two short games during the 2016 World Series, defies imagination. I know that sometimes words like ‘legend’ get thrown around in a way that over-sensationalize things, but this guy, this year; what he’s doing is amazing.
After heading to the DL will full ACL and LCL tears in April and having to basically learn to walk again, he then plays in two games in the AFL – one on Friday and the other on Monday – in preparation to play in the World Series. I cannot even comprehend that. And yet, here we are. Kyle has come back, been slotted into the Cubs’ World Series lineup and has gone 3-for-7 with a double, one run, two RBI and two bases-on-balls. That’s good for a slash line of .353/.450/.824. That, my fellow Cubs’ fans, is real. Soak it in.
Here are highlights from last night’s huge Cubs’ win.
