Chicago Cubs Lineup – World Series Game 3: Hendricks Takes on Indians, Contreras Batting Fifth
Kyle Hendricks (1-1, 1.65 ERA) is looking to add to his postseason success when he takes on the Cleveland Indians tonight in game 3 of the World Series. Hendricks has the lowest home ERA in the majors at 1.32. He showcased that domination in his last start at Wrigley Field in game 6 of the NLCS. In 7 1/3 innings he gave up only two hits and no runs to clinch a World Series birth for the Cubs. Hendricks seems to thrive under the pressure of the big games, with his soft spoken, business-like approach.
The Indians will once again march out a right-handed pitcher, Josh Tomlin, to match-up against the Cubs. With Kyle Schwarber out of the lineup tonight, Joe has Willson Contreras behind the plate and batting fifth in the order. Javier Baez is batting seventh in the order and Jorge Soler will play right field and bat in the sixth spot.
