Elite Cubs Fans (ECF) is proud to announce their 2nd annual charity campaign benefitting the Joe Maddon’s Hazleton Integration Project (HIP). In 2016 ECF co-founder Jason Gilley was watching a SportsCenter featured segment titled, “Just An Average Joe”. Inspired by the story of the Hazleton One Recreation Center and Joe Maddon’s incredible work bringing the community together, Gilley reached out to Bob Curry, the President of HIP. ECF raised over $7800 to send 2 bus loads of underprivileged youth to the Cubs vs Phillies game on Sept 11, 2015. At the time ECF had only 300 members!

ECF now has nearly 12,000 members on FaceBook, and over 500 followers between Twitter (@EliteCubsFans) and Instagram (@EliteCubsFans)! Please give them a follow! We are hoping to knock this campaign out of the park! Because of the unique relationship between Bob Curry and Joe Maddon (cousins), ECF was given a special exclusive opportunity to be a part of an event that will reward a true diehard fan with an unique… “Only 2 in the world*” items!

When asked why ECF gets involved with charities like helping veterans and underprivileged youth, the answer is simple! It is what Cubs fans do! For 108 years Cubs fans have rallied behind one another, picked each other up, and supported each other in the worst of times. We know how it feels to struggle, to want something so bad and have it just out of our reach. We learned how to persevere, to always believe, and WE NEVER QUIT! Now in 2016 we can add to that list “we celebrate together!” With our feelings still over-pouring, we still need to support those around us that do not have the opportunities we have had this year.
