Chicago Cubs Lineup: Schwarbryzzobrist Backs Hendricks, Montero Catching
We’ve got all the old familiar faces at the top of the Cubs’ order for Friday’s matinee series opener. The Buccos are in town and looking to do something about last year’s 1-8 record at Wrigley.
Yeah, about that.
The Cubs still haven’t really hit their stride offensively, though Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell both played longball yesterday. Once Kris Bryant really gets going…whoa.
Kyle Hendricks will be on the bump and will be hitting behind his batterymate, Miguel Montero. Javy Baez bats at the bottom of the order and I’ve got a sneaking suspicion he wows the crowd this afternoon.
Speaking of, I’m also predicting a Jason Heyward bomb. Dude’s been hitting really well on the young season.
First pitch is 1:20pm CT and the game will be on WGN locally (check here for your affiliate and here for the series preview), with 670 The Score on the radio call.
Your Friday afternoon plans are all set.
