Roster Update: Dylan Floro Optioned to AAA, Jeimer Candelario Staying
After playing well in his return to the MLB lineup, many wondered if Jeimer Candelario would be staying with the Cubs despite having only been called up to be the 26th man for today’s doubleheader. Well, we have an answer.
Dylan Floro, who provided important relief innings for the Cubs in the first game this afternoon, has been optioned back to Iowa leaving a spot for Candelario. With Brett Anderson on the DL, we can probably expect more movement in the coming days to address the empty rotation spot. For now the roster is back to 25 with Candelario in the fold.

Dylan Floro’s Game 1 heroics (4 1/3 IP, 61p) helps assure short stay. Optioned back to Iowa. Candelario gets extra stay after Tues. callup.
