Watch: Eloy Jimenez Blasts First ‘Real’ Home Run of 2017
That didn’t take long. Just a couple days after being optioned to Myrtle Beach from Extended Spring Training at Mesa, Eloy Jimenez launched his first home run of the season. According to the Pelicans, the ball left his bat at 105 mph and traveled 405 feet. Woow.
In his next at-bat, Jimenez just missed his second homer when he hit what one onlooker said was the highest fly ball he’s ever seen. This kid’s a monster.
