Watch: Kyle Schwarber Hits 55 Total Homers, Falls to Bryce Harper in Derby Finals
Kyle Schwarber put on a show Monday night at the Home Run Derby in Washington, DC, but it was the hometown boy who ultimately came away with the crown. Bryce Harper bested Schwarber in the final round, though that doesn’t mean Schwarber didn’t put forth quite the effort.
The Cubs slugger defeated Alex Bregman in the first round with 16 bombs, then took out Rhys Hoskins with 21 in the second round before falling to Harper in the last round 19-18. Here are some of the highlights from Monday night.
