Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/25/19): Zobrist Leads Off, Descalso on Bench, Hamels Facing Red Sox
We’re nearly at the end of the fake games, which means legit lineups. Ben Zobrist is leading off at second base, Kris Bryant is at third, Anthony Rizzo is at first, and Javy Báez is playing short.
Kyle Schwarber is in left, Willson Contreras is catching Jason Heyward is in right, and Albert Almora Jr. bats ninth in center. Daniel Descalso is listed as a reserve and Joe Maddon says he should be ready to go for Opening Day.
Cole Hamels looked pretty hittable his last time out, but that may have been because he was working on something or was just off. Even though spring results are unreliable, we’re getting late enough that Hamels should be ready to go. He’s facing a legit lineup too, so we’ll see how that works out.
First Pitch is at 8:05pm CT and can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago or heard on 670 The Score.
