Watch: Anthony Rizzo Sneaks One Over Wall, Review Gives Him Homer
Anthony Rizzo lifted a 2-2 Rich Hill slider down the line in right and Cody Bellinger tracked it the whole way and seemed to have caught it. But then the ball fell to the ground and it appeared as though Rizzo had come away with a double. Upon further review, it was evident that the ball had cleared the exceptionally short wall out in right for a home run.

That was the first home run Rich Hill has allowed to a left-handed hitter this season, which is the theme of the series so far. When Kyle Schwarber homered on the first pitch Thursday night, it was the first home run Clayton Kershaw had allowed to a lefty. And when Jon Lester gave up a dinger to Bellinger, it was the first he had allowed to a lefty batter.
Somewhere, Rob Manfred is pleased. You know, because his juiced balls are doing exactly what they’re supposed to.
