Chicago Cubs Lineup (8/25/19): El Mago Cleans Up, Happer at 1B, Hollywood Pitching
J-Hey leads off in center, Artist is in right, KB plays third, and El Mago is at short. Then it’s Schwarbs in right, Luc catching, Addy at second, and Happer at first.
The obvious absence here is Tony, who left yesterday’s game with a stiff back and could be headed to the IL. David Bote was scratched from the I-Cubs lineup last night and is being recalled, which can only come as a replacement for an injured player.
They’ll be facing Stras, with whom your familiar enough to allow me to keep the scouting at brief as his Players’ Weekend nickname. Maybe the Cubs solve the riddle of his fastball/change/curve trifecta and run the Nats out of town, thereby salvaging something worthwhile from what so far has been a terrible weekend of games.
In order for Chicago to stave off a sweep, they’re going to need a vintage performance from Hollywood. He’s been pretty terrible since coming back from the IL, though perhaps he’s locked in some of the mechanical changes he’s been working through in that time.
Find out at 1:20pm CT on WGN, TBS (out-of-market), and 670 The Score.
