Chicago Cubs Lineup (9/22/19): Who Cares, Eat at Arby’s
Anthony Rizzo is leading off and playing first, Nicholas Castellanos is in right, and Kris Bryant is at third. Then it’s Kyle Schwarber cleaning up in left, Ben Zobrist at second, Victor Caratini catching, Jason Heyward in center, and Nico Hoerner at short.
Miles Mikolas is pitching for Cards today, which sucks because his minority stake in the organization increases a little every time he pitches against them. Dude throws a ton of strikes and gets a lot of contact, but the Cubs can pretty much never seem to figure him out.
They’ve already pissed down their legs several times over the previous three games in the series, so this could be one of those games in which the Cubs bounce back and make us think they’ve still got life. That, or they’ll roll the rest of the way over to fully expose the pale flesh of their collective underbelly.
Yu Darvish is on the mound, so maybe we’ve got a chance to witness a new strikeout record. That’d be cool, because we need a light in this darkness. Then again, maybe it’s best not to see the monsters lurking in it.
First pitch is at 1:20pm CT and can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago or TBS (out-of-market), with 670 The Score on the radio call.
