Pat Hughes on Marquee Call Sunday, His First Regular Season Game TV Game
Fasten those seatbelts, Cubs fans. Legendary radio voice Pat Hughes will be joining color man Jim Deshaies for Sunday’s game on Marquee Sports Network, marking the first time in his career that Hughes has called a regular season television broadcast. He was also part of the Marquee booth for a few spring games, the first TV calls of his venerable career.

You don’t get the feeling this could be a turning point for Hughes, who is a radio fixture, but it’s an absolute treat to have him stepping in for Boog Sciambi even if it’s just for a game. Cubs fans really are spoiled when it comes to the broadcast teams and it’s an absolute embarrassment of riches to be able to pull a future Hall of Famer into the TV booth from time to time.
