Justin Steele Exits Game Due to Low-Back Tightness
Justin Steele was looking good through five-plus innings of work Friday night, with his only big mistake going for a solo homer. He walked four while striking out six and scattered just four hits, but was lifted one out into the 6th inning due to what the Cubs said was low-back tightness. That’s a pretty nebulous malady, though it’s safe to assume the lefty will miss a little time.

Steele has been the victim of poor run support all season and it looked like more of the same in this one before Ian Happ‘s two-run homer took the starter off the hook. Let’s just hope this is really minor and results in nothing more than a missed start or a few extra days of rest.
