Carl Edwards Jr Back with Cubs Again

Carl Edwards Jr. opted out of his minor league deal and was subsequently released near the end of spring training, potentially ending his Cubs reunion. However, Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register reported Thursday that the reliever was in Iowa throwing with the relievers and updated Friday that Edwards has officially rejoined the I-Cubs.

This is presumably a new minors deal for the Stringbean Slinger, who looked good in Mesa and has a good chance to get back to Chicago. Really glad to see him back with the organization.
