There was a lot of interest in Jason Heyward heading into the 2017 season, namely in regard to the work he put in this winter to refine his swing. We had video evidence of that work, including side-by-side comparisons of his new mechanics vs. the 2016 version.

Heyward is one of the Cubs’ hottest hitters in this young season, slashing .286/.333/.385 with two home runs in his last two games. Below, he talks about his approach at the plate and that fantastic diving catch he made in the bottom of the 3rd inning that turned into a double play.
