I know, I know, everyone — including me — was excited to see Starlin Castro make his first appearance at Wrigley Field since becoming a member of the New York Yankees. Of course, winning the World Series sure did make the reunion a little easier.
Everything was going great for Starlin in his return. The Cubs played a touching video tribute to him, they even played his old walk-up song as he came to bat in the first inning. Good thing Jason Heyward didn’t feel obliged to give Castro a warm welcome. Well, unless you consider a diving catch that he turned into a double play a tribute. Kinda?
