Watch: Jon Lester Crushes Double Off Centerfield Wall in St. Louis
Jon Lester went o-for-67 to set an MLB record for longest hitless streak to begin a career. Today he hammered a deep drive off the wall in center in the top of the 2nd inning against the Cardinals. The ball looked like it might leave the park for his first ever home run, but ended up bouncing off the top of the wall for an RBI double.
