Watch: Rizzo, Bryant Discuss Russell Situation Prior to Thursday’s Game

I can’t imagine the Cubs players were very much looking forward to the pregame media access period, what will all the stuff that’s been going on today. ESPN’s Jesse Rodgers was there to capture some of the reactions, specifically those of Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant.

Here’s Rizzo discussing the challenges of balancing baseball with life off the field and various other endeavors:

Bryant expressed surprise and said that he wants to be a good teammate, but stressed that no one in the locker room knows exactly what happened

That’s about all you can expect at this point. My only question after watching these videos, though, is “What the hell is that Buddha thing in Bryant’s locker?”
