Cubs Injury Update: Russell Experiences Foot Soreness, Headed to Chicago to See Docs
Addison Russell doubled in his first rehab at-bat Monday night and was scheduled to start Wednesday evening after a planned day off, but that changed when he experienced foot pain during warmups. Rather than playing six or seven innings and getting at least three at-bats, the shortstop was scratched from the start and will head back to Chicago to be checked out by team doctors.
