Watch: Yu Darvish Hits BP Homer…Batting Lefty
Who needs Shohei Ohtani when Yu’ve got a switch-pitching, switch-hitting ace?
We found out not long ago that Yu Darvish could pitch left-handed, but we didn’t know he could turn around at the plate. Though he’s listed as a right-handed batter, the lanky hurler was taking BP from the left side out on the back fields prior to the Cubs game against the Padres.

While not all of his swings were fruitful, he got all of one pitch and posed as it sailed over the wall. Did I mention that he was batting left-handed? Cool, just making sure.
