Watch: Cubs Pitchers Unleash Absolute Filth Against Brewers
Yu Darvish has a freakish array of pitches that he can let loose at any time, though he hasn’t commanded all of them very well this year. That hasn’t been the case against the Brewers, a team he’s dominated twice now. Darvish busted out the whole toolkit Friday afternoon, limiting Milwaukee to a single unearned run on just three hits.

And how do you even deal with a dude spinning a 64 mph bender up there after he just fired a 95 mph fastball at you? Knees, they buckle.

Steve Cishek pitched much better than his line indicates, hampered as he was by a bogus strike zone.

Darvish had the curve working and also helped his cause with a double, but Carl Edwards Jr. dropped the hammer with a curve and even hit a dong.

Then came Brandon Morrow, who has just been outstanding as the closer. The fireballing righty needed only 11 pitches to dispatch the Brewers in order, absolutely demoralizing them in the process. I’d almost feel bad for what he did to Ryan Braun except, well, it was Ryan Braun.
It’s just unfair to go 99 at the knees and then come back with that same velo at the shoulders. Nothing anyone can do about that.
Now.
You.
