Watch: Yu Darvish Ends Workout By Throwing Lefty
God, I can already see the replies to this headline. In any case, Yu Darvish took another step forward in his rehab from right triceps inflammation when he worked out in left field at Busch Stadium Sunday afternoon.
After playing a little catch with the formerly bum arm, the righty changed things up — literally — by throwing a few different pitches left-handed.
Yu Darvish is out in LF right now throwing knuckleballs, changeups, and fastballs…LEFT HANDED.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Darvish go full ambidextrous, either. Similar video of him taking a page out of Rocky’s book surfaced back in January and there was even a video of him hiring a BP dinger from the left side.
Darvish will take Monday off, but the plan is for him to throw live BP off the mound at Wrigley prior to Tuesday’s game with the Dodgers. Given his very regular throwing schedule over the last few days, it certainly seems as though a pre-All-Star return is possible at this point.
In other rehab news, Carl Edwards Jr. also played catch with trainer P.J. Mainville close at hand.
