Javy Baez, Willson Contreras Named NL All-Star Starters, Lester on Pitching Staff
It looks like that late social media push by the Cubs paid off, as both Javy Baez and Willson Contreras leap-frogged the rest of the competition to earn starting nods in the All-Star Game. This is the first selection for either player and you can bet they’re both going to make the most of their time in the limelight.

The only thing that would make this better is seeing Clint Hurdle as the manager of the NL team. Okay, not really, since that would mean the Pirates had actually been good last season, but it’d be nice to redden that ass up just a little more.
***Update***
Jon Lester has also been named to the All-Star team, which is right and good.
