Nico Hoerner, the Cubs’ 2018 first-round draft pick out of Stanford, has done nothing but hit ever since signing with the Cubs. Going into Sunday, the 21-year-old shortstop is hitting .438 in 20 plate appearances, and he hit an oppo laser over the fence on Saturday for his first professional homer.
