Watch: Yu Darvish Speaks After 45-Pitch Bullpen in Arizona
Pitchers and catchers officially report to Mesa on Tuesday, but Yu Darvish is getting a head start. The prized free agent from last year’s class threw a 45-pitch bullpen session at the Cubs complex and said afterwards he felt pretty darn good.

Prior to the 2018 season, many in and around the Cubs organization thought their starting five would be better than the ’16 group that led them to a World Series title. But a stress reaction in Darvish’s elbow ultimately sidelined him for a majority of the season and he was unfairly pegged as selfish and mentally weak. Imagine what a healthy Darvish will do for this Cubs rotation.
The full interview with Darvish will air Sunday night on WGN.
