Beer nerds may appreciate the talk about Amarillo hops and a mild conspiracy theory about the beer’s hop bill in general. After that, talk turns to the Cubs’ big weekend series win and Kris Bryant’s improvements.

From there, I branch off to talk about Addison Russell’s impending activation and a recent story that popped up about the Cubs’ handling of that narrative. Are they trying to control it by threatening media members who speak negatively about Russell or is that not true simply because beat writers haven’t heard it?
