Guns N’ Roses Wrigley Field Concert Postponed, New Date Being Identified
The Cubs announced Wednesday that the Guns N’ Roses concert scheduled for July 26 at Wrigley Field has been postponed. A new date is being sought and tickets for the original show will be valid for the new one should it be scheduled. If you would prefer a refund, however, you can request one within 30 days of the new date being announced. In the event that the show can’t be held at Wrigley, refunds will issued automatically.
This announcement had been a long time coming, but it’s still disappointing. Well, maybe not for everyone. I had field-level tickets and was really looking forward to the show because I’ve never seen GNR live. Yes, even though Axl’s voice isn’t what it used to be and the acoustics at Wrigley aren’t exemplary to say the least. But I’m there for the pageantry of the whole thing, not to mention the epic people-watching.
Oh well, I suppose it’s still possible there’s a show in the future. In the meantime, you can contact Fan Services at fanservices@cubs.com with any questions.
