Cubs Announce 2021 Spring Training Schedule

Spring training seems like forever ago and the looming MLB playoffs means there’s little to think about beyond October, but February is only a few months away. Okay, so that’s actually 17 years in COVID time, but it’s still close enough that the Cubs have released their 2021 spring training schedule.

The preseason begins on Saturday, February 27 at Sloan Park with the home opener against the Dodgers and concludes against the White Sox at Sloan Park on Tuesday, March 30. The Cubs’ tentative 33-game Cactus League schedule includes 18 games at Sloan Park and 15 more on the road, though additional games may be added in the future.

The Cubs and White Sox play four times next spring: March 26, March 29 and March 30 in Mesa and March 19 in Glendale. If you’re into wearing green and/or amateur-hour celebrations, the Cubs have a split-squad affair on St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17, when they host the Rockies and play at the Mariners.

Individual game tickets for Cubs spring training games at Sloan Park are scheduled to go on sale in January 2021. In the meantime, fans may direct an spring training questions via e-mail to mesa@cubs.com or via telephone at 1-800-THE-CUBS.
