Jake Marisnick fell flat while attempting to run down a hit in, what turned out to be, a very ugly first inning of today’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. At first glance, it didn’t look like anything that you’d think would be too serious, but sometimes looks can be deceiving.

According to Jordan Bastian, Marisnick will undergo more testing on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. We’ll update you once we find out more.
Ross said Marisnick will undergo more testing tomorrow. Not much more info as of now.
Heyward was pulled due to a right hand issue that flared late in the game. Also being checked out by Cubs’ medical staff.
