Kyle Gibson was perfect through four innings against the Cubs but things changed quickly in the fifth. Willson Contreras broke things up with a single and then the Cubs broke out the power. Patrick Wisdom hit his 26th home run of the year, tying him with Kris Bryant for the Cubs all-time record by a rookie. Alfonso Rivas followed with a home run of his own for the first big league blast of his career.
