Kyle Schwarber Signs with Phillies
According to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philly, Kyle Schwarber has reached an agreement with the Phillies. Terms have not yet been disclosed and the deal is pending a physical, but everything should be formalized shortly.

Schwarber had been mentioned recently as a Cubs target, though the relationship soured when he was non-tendered last season and the damage may have been irreparable. Or it could just be that Philly gave him the proverbial offer he couldn’t refuse. There aren’t many impact lefty bats left on the market, so the Cubs will need to get to work quickly if they want to fill that hole on the roster.

This deal unites the rightful 2018 Home Run Derby champ with the man who ended up winning it because they let him cheat in his home ballpark. Yes, some people actually are still salty about that.
