Watch: Seiya Suzuki Gets First MLB Hit, Scores Run, Sparks Cubs’ Rally
There’s so much to love about Seiya Suzuki if you’re a Cubs fan. Not the least of which is the tremendous upside he brings to a team that needs all the upside it can get. Or at least that’s what it looks like on paper.
Suzuki managed to earn his first MLB hit today, a single in the bottom of the 5th inning. He advanced to third on a Jason Heyward single and scored on a sacrifice fly by Patrick Wisdom.
Nico Hoerner finished off the scoring for the Cubs in the 5th inning by bashing a 2-run home run to left-center.
