Watch: Cristian Hernandez Might Have Prettiest Swing in Cubs Org
In the absence of much good news in Chicago, Saturday morning felt like the right time to share videos of Cubs prospects hitting jack jobs. We’ve already taken a look at the pair of homers Owen Caissie hit for South Bend and the two-run shot Pete Crow-Armstrong hit for Myrtle Beach, so now it’s time for Cristian Hernandez. As good as those first two hitters looked, neither comes close to matching the aesthetic beauty of this Hernandez swing.

This is a cut so smooth it would make The Macallan’s master distillers retire in envy. Hernandez is currently ranked as the Cubs’ No. 2 overall prospect and he should be making his affiliated debut at some point later this season, but he just turned 18 last December and the organization can be patient. Just imagine what he’ll be able to do if he fills out just a little bit.
My goodness.
